WELCOME
Nurtured Roots Learning Center is a locally owned and operated childcare facility in Adel,
just off South Elm Street. We officially opened our doors January 11, 2023.
We promise to serve the early learning and educational needs of your children ages 6 weeks to 12 years with specialized curriculum and age appropriate programs throughout the year. Your child will thrive in our nurturing environment created to provide a safe and positive learning experience for all ages.

OUR ROOTS
Nurtured Roots is owned by Ty and Sara Sumner. Both whom were raised in Cook County and have recently joined the community again through several different business opportunities.
We all understand that choosing the right childcare center is not an easy task for parents. Due to a limited number of options available in this community, we see the need of bringing a high-quality child care development center to Cook County. We are all so excited for this new venture and we can't wait to provide the care that we would want for our kids to a community that means so much to all of us.

THE SUMNER FAMILY
Both Ty and Sara were born and raised right here in Cook County, and they are both fortunate enough to return home to serve the people of this community. Through Ty's career as an insurance agent, he is able to serve the people and businesses of Adel by helping them insure their assets. Sara has a Masters in Arts of Teaching specializing in Business and Computer Science. While Sara is has completed her 6th year teaching middle school kids, she has made the decision to come on full time at Nurtured Roots as the director.
Ty and Sara have 3 children:
Noa (7), Thompson (3), and Truett (6m).
